Beloved Star The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Roles in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at Age 60.

US actor Finn, who was seen in iconic television series such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.

The comedic improv actor passed away at his residence in Los Angeles on Monday after undergoing treatment for cancer beginning in 2022, according to media reports.

"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his relatives stated in a statement.

They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".

A Notable TV Career

His debut TV appearance was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.

He subsequently landed a repeating character on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.

He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in the late 90s, playing a social organizer who would assign unpleasant chores to his guests.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on numerous well-known programs, such as:

• The King of Queens
• Friends
• "That '70s Show"
• "House"

He was most recognized for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight seasons of the show from 2011 to 2018.

His film credits encompass It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".

Off-Screen Life

Away from his television work, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was a member of a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.

"Finn taught, supported, and inspired many learners throughout the years and it would be difficult to find anyone anywhere who has an unkind word to say about him," his family wrote.

Offering condolences, peer Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," he posted online.

Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, three children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
