Norris Leads Oscar Piastri in Brazilian Practice
Lando Norris has outscored his teammate at all of the last five grands prix.
Lando Norris just pipped fellow driver and championship contender the Australian for the quickest lap in the closing stages of the practice session at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Norris, who seized the title advantage from Piastri by a single point after winning in Mexico City recently, topped the Melbourne-born driver by 0.023 seconds.
Earlier in the session, Oscar Piastri had been the fastest McLaren driver during the running before sprint qualifying due at 18:30 GMT.
The Red Bull star, the only other driver in the championship fight, trailing with a 36-point deficit Norris, ended up in P17 as his Red Bull team followed a alternative strategy.
Verstappen's team-mate Yuki Tsunoda was the only driver to go off, if briefly, when he lost control at the fourth corner during the early running.
The Japanese lost control over the track edges before rotating through the gravel trap, and was lucky to escape with just a light touch of the barrier.

Hamilton wrapped up in 19th place, just behind teammate the Monegasque driver.
The McLaren drivers were well clear of the rest of the field, with the German's car in third, 0.619 seconds slower than Piastri's best.
Aston Martin's the Spanish driver was fourth quickest, with Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto fifth from Mercedes' George Russell and Alpine's Pierre Gasly and the Williams of Carlos Sainz.
