President Trump Welcomes Relatives of Attacked Guard Soldiers to the White House

President Donald Trump revealed on the weekend that he has invited the loved ones of a Guard member killed last week to attend the executive mansion.

He added that he contacted her parents and they were “devastated”.

Information on the Devastating Incident

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a attack on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

Gatherings across West Virginia have occurred in their memory.

White House Offer

The president stated he’s talked about a White House visit for the families of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to recognize Sarah,” Trump addressed reporters. “And similarly with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Community Response

Community members gathered over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to honor Beckstrom.

Both the soldiers had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to assist law enforcement in the capital.

Honoring Sarah Beckstrom

“She was the type of pupil that educators desired. She conducted herself with calm resilience, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that inspired those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the principal of her former high school, informed the Associated Press. “She was sweet, considerate and always willing to support those in need.”

Funeral plans for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Legal Actions and Government Adjustments

Law enforcement have indicted a 29-year-old suspect with one count of first-degree murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.

The event led the government to pause refugee claims and halt providing visas to possessors of passports from Afghanistan.

Status of the Airman

Wolfe, a native of the city, started his military career in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, according to the AP.

He is still undergoing care and is “in a critical fight”, the state’s leader Morrisey stated on a news program.

The state’s top lawyer Pam Bondi stated on Fox News Sunday that she planned to meet with his relatives.

Impact of the Fallen Soldier

Beckstrom, from her hometown, completed her education from Webster County High in mid-2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a law enforcement officer with excellence, as stated by the state guard.

“She had a lot of compassion and she certainly had bravery,” Morrisey informed the crowd at the memorial. “Though her life ended too soon, she has left a mark that’s going to endure.”
