The New Animated Series' Introductory Sequence Selected the Wrong Popular RPG Show Track

The Mighty Nein, the newest animated series from the beloved role-playing group, unveiled a new opening credits. It showcases the beloved group of outcasts, outcasts, and rogues kicking ass and making their mark, while also hinting at multiple agonizing backstories for key figures such as the voice actor's wizard Caleb, and Travis Willingham's warlock orc, the character Fjord.

All in all, the intro looks amazing. But I couldn't help feeling that an element was missing in the song choice.

This sequence employs "Welcome to Wildemount", an exceptional composition created by producer and singer the talented musician. This piece originating from the soundtrack album of the same name, the second one released by the production company's record label Scanlan Shorthalt Music. It's a wonderful nostalgic option, and I believe that devotees of the sequel series will love its presence.

Personally, The Mighty Nein's opening fails to capture the excitement and excitement that was part of the second campaign's actual-play adventure. "It's Your Turn", composed by singer-songwriter the artist, was an instant classic for me when it was first revealed in that year, and it improved further when co-founder the performer wrote words to the melody for the series' animated intro in 2018.

Including singing from one actress, another performer, Travis Willingham, as well as the writer, the song was catchy and enjoyable. Back then, I hadn't seen the second campaign at that point, but it was so infectious that I still saved it on my phone. This track that knows how to get you pumped before you dive into an episode of adventurous fun.

The Mighty Nein's opening with "the new song" fails to hit the right notes for me. It's an impressive composition, but from what I know of the group, I can't help but feel that its tone is somewhat mismatched.

Naturally, the creators has stated that the series will have a few surprises and variations from the original live sessions. An adjusted mood for its opening seems to be one of them.

This animated adventure will be available to watch on the streaming service from Nov. 19. If you can't wait before that, or wish to prepare to learn about the characters of the second series, the original episodes are available on Spotify and the video site.
