The Two Fatalities Revealed in the Providence Campus Shooting as Police Continue Search for Perpetrator.

Two students who were killed in the recent mass shooting on the university campus were being remembered Monday – amid a widespread hunt for their shooter persisted following the release by authorities in Rhode Island of the single suspect questioned in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

The young woman Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was described as “a wonderful, steady, devout, shining presence”, as stated by the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which honored her memory at a ceremony on Sunday.

The other person killed was an Uzbek national named MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an Uzbek national in his freshman year at the prestigious university, according to relatives.

The victim's identification was confirmed by the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. His ambitions were lofty of pursuing a career in neurosurgery and helping people,” his sibling Samira said in a online post.

The Shooting Incident

Nine more persons were injured in the violent event in the engineering building of Brown’s university in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Authorities said on Sunday evening that a 24-year-old male detained in a police operation at a lodging about 17 miles from the scene earlier in the day was being released.

“We have a murderer out there,” declared Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

Neronha explained, “Investigations can lead one way, and then you must reassess and pursue a different angle, and that’s exactly what has happened over the last approximately one day.”

Ongoing Concerns
